Community Engagement Showcase
Tuesday, Apr. 28, 2020, 9 a.m. -2 p.m.
Holmes Student Center, Duke Ellington Ballroom
We are working closely with the university leadership preparing contingency plans for the Community Engagement Showcase (CES). We are prepared to move CES to a virtual format this year if necessary to allow students to showcase their posters and abstracts through an online format (including judging). We are also prepared to adjust the submission deadlines and the actual date of the event (especially if moved into virtual format) to accommodate delays in project completion due to university closures.
The Community Engagement Showcase (CES) is a celebration of the outstanding community-based engagement experiences including work completed during a service-learning course or program, internship, or through student organizations throughout the academic year.
If you are an undergraduate student, you should consider showcasing your work completed through community-based research and capstone projects, internships, service-related study abroad, independent study, Student Engagement Fund, Huskie Service Scholars, Huskie Alternative Breaks, the College of Business Experiential Learning Center or any other related community engagement projects. All undergraduate students are eligible to showcase their work in a poster, digital media display or table-top display.
Students and their projects will be judged based on presentation skills, clarity, and design of their chosen presentation format (i.e. poster, digital video/photograph montage, etc.). There will be monetary awards given to first, second, and third place winners.
